So now I can (I think) follow the people I left behind when I screwed up my Mastodon account
It's a long story, harder to tell since I don't fully understand what happened, but shortly after I redirected my mastodon.social account to an instance I'd set up for myself using Cloudron I messed up that instance (by renaming the subdomain, I think) and lost connection to the few Mastodon accounts I'd been following. When, a while later, I decided to try using Zot-protocol-based platforms I temporarily turned my attention away from Mastodon...until today. Someone mentioned an ActivityPub add-on for Hubzilla but I couldn't find it at first, scanning only the names of the add-ons. It was only when I read the descriptions more carefully that I realized that PubCrawl was an implementation of ActivityPub (and belatedly paid attention toe the "Pub" in both names!. What can I tell you -- I had an appointment with the urologist earlier an my attention to detail suffered somewhat.
I have now connected to the half-dozen Mastodon accounts I missed and look forward to seeing future posts showing up in my network stream....
